Grab ‘em by the Polls

In the wake of the 2016 election and the revelations of #MeToo, the 2018 midterm polls held an even greater sense of urgency among female voters. To encourage poll participation, the Women’s March Illinois chapter organized a statewide march—and they needed a rallying cry.

No brief. No established placement. No pressure.

After 2 pages of emotional calls-to-action, it was a throwaway line at the end of the list, a twist on the President’s infamous “locker room talk,” that got the organizers’ attention. It has since been trademarked.
